Damn, I’ve been struggling to sit down and put words on the page lately. Even this supposedly simple email has felt like a monumental task. Not because I don’t want to write, but because there’s so much happening! Much of it is still playing out, and I don’t quite have the words for it all just yet.

Suffice it to say that pretty much every area of my life is getting a complete fucking overhaul right now. 🔥

Though I’ve never really followed Chinese astrology, what I am familiar with feels incredibly relevant in this moment. The Year of the Wood Snake is ending in the next few days, and Fire Horse energy is coming in extra hot with a Solar Eclipse! That’s big stuff shifts in energy. ✨

Right now, it feels like I’m offering up everything I thought my life would look like to these forces of release and renewal. I’m so very curious to see what’s left once the flames have died down and I can sift through the ashes and rubble!

While that sounds intense (it is!), it doesn’t feel heavy. 😁

It feels more like a lightening of the load, a release of what’s become stale, stagnant, or out of alignment with my truest self.

Over the last couple of months, there have been so many incredible moments of synchronicity and joyful connection that tell me I’m on the right path. I have hope that it’s all going to be so much better than I could have imagined! 🙏

In these transitional times, the best thing I can do is be patient. ⏳

Trying to push through or force anything only creates more confusion and takes me off track. So, I’m choosing to embrace this opportunity to slow down and trust the process. I’m choosing to lean on my instincts and intuition rather than strategy and analysis.

Right now, I’m only saying yes to what feels joyful, like a giant firework of excitement bursting inside my heart. 🎆

Here are a few things I know, for sure, will move forward with me:

• The Wandering Weirdly podcast! This is such a fun project, and we’ve received so much encouraging feedback. Wednesday’s episode is one I’m super excited for you to hear! Tune in for new episodes every other week.
• My two-month trip to the UK. The timing is ridiculously perfect, and I feel pulled to the land of my ancestors more than ever. I’m so excited to see what’s waiting there for me this time!
• Building community. I’ve found so many opportunities to be in community with other curious, creative, and life-loving humans lately, both online and in person! I have a sneaking suspicion that creating and participating in these kinds of experiences may be central to whatever comes next.

Everything else is on pause and up for reevaluation. I know better than to fight these final weeks of darkness before Spring arrives.

Remember, all new life begins in the darkness. I’m so very hopeful about what’s to come! I hope you are too.

🏡 Everyday Adventures: Amidst the many changes, I’ve gotten more involved with the local community here in my chosen hometown of Olympia. I recently volunteered at the Funk Fest, which was a blast! A serendipitous encounter there now has me stepping in to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the Procession of the Species, my absolute favorite Olympia event! 😲 It’s sure to be a big job, but I’m pumped to be even more involved this year.

✨ Inner Journeys: Right now, it feels like I’m watching the life I had planned fade in the review mirror. Ahead, the road is still dark and foggy, though I’m starting to see the first glimmers of light. I’m tending to my inner world with delight and care while I wait for clarity to arrive.
