For those just weird enough to not fit anywhere (the podcast is live! 🎙️)

Hi friend,

I can’t believe this is finally here after so many months of talking about it, recording, and getting all the behind-the-scenes stuff ready! The Wandering Weirdly podcast is officially live! (It’s also on YouTube.)

I’ll share more about the podcast in just a moment. First, here’s what’s in this email:

  • Community gatherings for the Everyday Adventure Experiment and Explorer’s Circle
  • Current explorations: UK travel planning, training for a 96-mile trek, the power of collective intention

Now, let’s get into it!

Have you ever had that persistent feeling that you don’t quite fit anywhere?

You definitely don’t fit with mainstream society. You don’t share the same values, and you don’t want a life that looks like everyone else's. Instead, you crave fun, exploration, interesting conversations, and deeper connections!

You also don’t quite fit with the other “weirdos”. (I use this term in the most loving way!) You have too many interests to lock in with a niche group or subscribe to a specific paradigm.

So, you hide in plain sight. You’re a chameleon, shape-shifting to look like you fit in everywhere, but deep down, you know you’re not one of them.

Sound familiar? I thought so.

I spent most of my life thinking this meant something was wrong with me. It took a long time to realize that I wasn’t broken. I just needed to walk a different kind of path.

Giving myself permission to explore what actually works for me on the most fundamental level, norms be damned, is what led me here.

Eventually, I found others who had the same experience, which was a game-changer! However, in order to find them, I had to stop hiding. I had to own my version of “weird” and actually let myself be seen.

Now, I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to share Wandering Weirdly, a brand new podcast co-hosted by me and my dear friend Thomas Beutel (a kindred “just weird enough” spirit). 🎙️✨

This show is a space for:

  • multi-passionate misfits
  • creative and joyful rebels
  • quietly (or boldly) curious humans
  • anyone who’s ever sensed there must be another way to do life

In each episode, we explore aspects of finding a path outside the norms. We dive into conversations about creativity, intuition, travel, and the strange, beautiful ways our inner and outer worlds shape one another.

Sometimes we share personal stories. Sometimes we ask deeper questions. Sometimes we tug on a thought string and see where the thread leads us.

None of this is about “fixing” ourselves (or anyone else), and we definitely don’t believe there’s one “right” path.

If you’ve ever felt just weird enough to not quite fit anywhere, then we made this podcast for you.

You can listen or watch the first episodes of Wandering Weirdly right here:

We’ll release a new episode every other Wednesday. (I’m claiming this as “Weirdo Wednesday”!)

I’d love to know what resonates, what sparks something, or what questions come up as you listen. Seriously, reply and tell me about it!

Here’s to wandering a little weirdly, always authentically, and as joyfully as possible! 🙌

Current Explorations 🧭

🌎 Intentional Travel: Trip plans are wrapping up, which feels amazing! There’s just the right balance of structure and wide open space in my itinerary. I’ll be sharing so much more about this in the next newsletter! Tell me what you want to hear in the poll below!

🏡 Everyday Adventures: OMG, getting ready to walk the 96-mile West Highland Way is no joke. I’ve given myself a training program to make sure I can actually enjoy the trek instead of just struggling through it. I’m having to get very creative about fitting all this walking time into my already full days. 😬

✨ Inner Journeys: Over the weekend, I got to participate in a beautiful new moon, personal reset ceremony with a group of friends. While our intentions were individual, it was incredibly powerful to see the safe space we created together. Everyone shared vulnerably and was held with such kindness and support. It was truly magic. More of this, please!

How is 2026 so far? If you’re feeling out of sorts and wishing you had a little more clarity about what you’d like to spend your time and energy on this year, the Mapping Your Year the Explorer’s Way self-guided workshop is still available for you!

Here’s what one participant had to say about her experience: “I really loved the Mapping Your Year the Explorer’s Way workshop! I was really moved by visualizations and written refection exercises. The workbook was easy to follow with and a great guide to refer to in the future. I loved the prompts and Core Values and Themes lists! Those really helped me get started on my answers and allowed for a deeper reflection to get the most out of this workshop. Thank you so much Annie!" ~ Sarah C.

Though I’m totally anti-hustle and not about “new year, new me”, January has been rather full. Mostly, I’m finally getting to fun projects that require me to sit down at my computer (like the podcast), which Winter gives me more time to do.

I hope that you’re finding delight in your explorations and enjoying the unfolding of this new year. 💚

Until next time, adventure on, my friend!

Cheers,

Annie

If you knew how many different times I’ve started, deleted, and restarted this email, you’d probably think I’m losing it! (Maybe I am!) 😜 While I have much to share, finding the words is proving to be more difficult than usual. In the interest of conserving time and energy on both our parts, I’ll do my level best to keep this concise. The new beginning that was ushered in with the Year of the Fire Horse has been shaking things up in more unexpected (and beautiful) ways! Plot Twist: I accepted...

Damn, I’ve been struggling to sit down and put words on the page lately. Even this supposedly simple email has felt like a monumental task. Not because I don’t want to write, but because there’s so much happening! Much of it is still playing out, and I don’t quite have the words for it all just yet. Suffice it to say that pretty much every area of my life is getting a complete fucking overhaul right now. 🔥 Though I’ve never really followed Chinese astrology, what I am familiar with feels...
